EBOLA

The Ebola outbreak in West Africa was first reported in March 2014, and has rapidly become the deadliest occurrence of the disease since its discovery in 1976.

Liberia, is the worst-hit country of the Ebola outbreak with more than 2,500 deaths, reported that two-thirds of the 696 beds in the country's treatment centers were empty.

The Liberian government has recently instituted enhanced measures to combat the spread of Ebola, many of which will likely make travel to, from, and within the country difficult. The government has closed all borders except major entry points (Roberts International Airport, James Spriggs Payne Airport, Foya Crossing, Bo Waterside Crossing, and Ganta Crossing).

Furthermore the government has Instituted prevention and screening measures at entry points that remain open. This new travel policy will affect incoming and outgoing travelers. Also Instituted quarantine measures for communities heavily affected by Ebola; travel in and out of those communities will be restricted, and the military personnel will help enforce these and other prevention for the control measures.

With many strategies took in place to stop this epidemic, we still detected many cases of Ebola in the country which show that the battle is far from over.

2014 is a historic year for Berlin; It marks the 25th anniversary of the most significant event in recent German history, the Fall of the Berlin Wall on 9 November 1989. Furthermore for many Germans to remember the day many exhibitions and events will take place today 9th November 2014.

It is better to go far back and remember to know and understand that the Berlin Wall (German: Berliner Mauer) was a barrier that existed between 1961 and 1990, constructed by the German Democratic Republic starting on 13 August 1961, that completely cut off West Berlin from surrounding East Germany and from East Berlin until it was opened in 1989. 

For those you don’t know the barrier included guard towers placed along large concrete walls, which circumscribed a wide area later known as the "death strip" that contained anti-vehicle trenches, "fakir beds" and other defenses.

Moreover The Eastern Bloc claimed that the wall was erected to protect its population from fascist elements conspiring to prevent the "will of the people" in building a socialist state in East Germany. The victims of the uprisings against the Communist dictatorship in Berlin 1953, Budapest 1956 or Prague 1968 will never been forgotten.

In 1989 the first free labor union was founded in the communist Poland. The end of the communist system had begun. The Soviet Union could control their satellites yet but with the new leader Gorbatshov their politics changed in 1984.

TWEETDECK & HOOTSUITE

TweetDeck / Hootsuite

Social Media has various tools or applications for managing and interacting with followers on the different platforms, among them are TweetDeck and HoutSuite. First of all TweetDeck is a social media dashboard application for management of Twitter accounts. Like other Twitter applications it interfaces with the Twitter API to allow users to send and receive tweets and view profiles.

Moreover TweetDeck is a web tool that helps you manage and post to your social networking profiles or pages. Before TweetDeck was acquired by Twitter, it could work with a few more social networking sites than it does now. At this point, you can only manage your Twitter accounts or Facebook profiles/pages with TweetDeck.

Furthermore TweetDeck gives you a dashboard that organizes and displays separate columns of activity from Twitter or Facebook accounts. 

In the other hand HootSuite is also a social media management tool that allows users to update and post any pages or profiles for Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, Foursquare, Myspace, WordPress. Although HootSuite is largely known as a business tool, a lot of individuals use it too. For example if you spend a lot of time on social media and have a lot of profiles to take care of, streamlining all of those profiles into one simple system can help save you a lot of time. If you’re posting the same thing across five profiles, you can post it once through HootSuite and select the profiles where you want it published, and it will publish it on all five profiles at once.

Between those two social media management tools we observed similarities and differences. TweetDeck is just cleaner than HootSuite. You can customize your dashboard by color theme (dark or light), column size (narrow, medium or wide) and font size (smallest, small, medium, large or largest). The interface combines all of your accounts into one window to scroll back and forth through (as opposed to HootSuite’s tabbed interface).

Both TweetDeck and HootSuite have similar layouts. They use dashboards with separate columns for you to organize your streams, @mentions, messages, tracked hashtags and so on. You can add as many columns as you want to either platform and scroll from side to side to view all of them.

Political chaos for Blaise Compaoré

Blaise Compaoré is a  politician  and  was the  President of Burkina Faso from 1987 until his resignation on 31 October 2014. He was a top associate of President Thomas Sankara during the 1980s, and in October 1987 he led a coup d'état during which Sankara was killed; subsequently he introduced a policy of rectification, overturning the Marxist policies pursued by Sankara.

Recently his attempt to amend the constitution to extend his 27-year term caused the 2014 Burkinabé uprising. Not long ago  Compaoré had been removed from power; early this week Compaoré fled the country to Ivory Coast , following  mass protests against his bid to prolong his 27-year-long rule by standing in elections next year.

After several days of chaos the military took over, but it has since come under pressure from both the political opposition and the international community to allow a civilian transitional body to oversee fresh elections.

Who say  that South Africa is a safe country. On Sunday 26th goal keeper Senzo Meyiwa was shot dead in Johannesburg at around 20h00.The incident  happened at Meyiwa's girlfriend's Kelly Khumalo's house in Vosloorus.

At the age of 27 year old he played for Orlando Pirates and had played in South Africa's last four Africa  Cup of Nation qualifiers.

This tragedy  once again reveals the degree of crime  faced by the local people and visitors.This is a sad news for his familly and his team members. Meyima left an empty place in his familly house and the South African Soccer Industry.

Dangerous Cities The end of the year is coming , as we  know traveling around the world is a great way to spend your vacation time, but not all cities are as charming as the ones  in the  movies or travel brochures. While every large city has its problems, some are a little worse than others. with  crime s, rape, intentional homicides.  San Pedro Sula, Honduras For the second year in a row, the city of San Pedro Sula had the world’s highest murder rate, surpassing Mexico’s Ciudad Juárez. It topped the list of most dangerous cities in the world a second time with a rate of 169 intentional homicides per 100,000 inhabitants  an average of more than 3 murders a day. Acapulco in Mexico was once a popular tourist destination. These days, however, the stunning beaches see only a handful of vacationers. Drug cartels are a problem throughout Mexico and it has only been getting worse over the past decade. Large numbers of dead bodies are a common occurrence in this port city, making it a nerve wracking place to hang out.

The African Cup of Nation(CAF) is the  biggest event held in the African  continent .Marocco is the  hosting country of  the event for next year , but due  to the fear to contamination of Ebola , Morocco could withdraw from organising the African Cup of Nations 2015.

CAF is already  looking for  a replacement, which could be South Africa and Ghana, the countries approached by the institution governing African football. This reaction shows how people  are how scared by the epidemic  .

Souh Africa and Ghana has formally been asked  by  The CAF if they are able to arrange at short notice the African Cup of Nations in 2015.If Morocco may withdrawing, because of an epidemic Ebola.
